Sirens for Life in PEI
RCMP in PEI won this year’s Sirens for Life challenge and were proud winners of our amazing new PEI Sirens trophy. The team will have possession of the award for the year in honour of their victory, returning it prior to next summer’s challenge.
The Sirens for Life Challenge, initially planned for Old Home Week, was extended to three weeks due to overwhelming response. Thanks to our bulletin board in the refreshment area, a few more groups joined the challenge. As a result, we collected 394 units, exceeding our goal by ten donations – making a real difference to patients and their families. Considering this was prime vacation time, the results are even more impressive! Thank you very much for your support- we look forward to working with you again next year.
The results are as follows:
RCMP – 14 donations
Charlottetown Fire – 13 donations
Charlottetown Police – 8 donations
East River Fire – 7 donations
Island EMS – 6 donations
Cross Roads Fire – 6 donations
St. Peters Bay Fire – 3 donations
