After a 6 year break I returned to the Canadian Blood Services clinic at Carling Avenue yesterday to donate for the 61st time. It was a great experience with the help of staff members and volunteers Rosario, Cynthia, Nicole and Kathy. I saw positive changes to the process including a smartphone app to book and prepare, encouragement to drink and eat with bottles of water and bags of munchies available at the entrance, and a bright new logo. There is always the opportunity to meet people and friends; I met Ross, a colleague whom I hadn't seen since my Deep River days.
