I chose to donate blood as over the last couple years of my life, realized how important blood is to Canada. We not only need it for those who are struggling and need any donors they can get, but also have supply in case an accident or disaster happens and people need blood. As a young healthy male, I realized my blood donation could help many and give those who didn’t have a chance before, a bigger chance now. I enjoy helping people in anyway I can, and I thought this would be the most impactful way I could do so. Many people in my family have needed blood and luckily received it, so this is my way of saying thanks! Donating blood can help others have a fighting chance.
