Tzeachten First Nation

The vision of Tzeachten First Nation is to remain the keepers of their traditional territories. This responsibility has been passed on to them by their ancestors and exercised through cultural, environmental and socio-economic stewardship. Respect is the foundation for all that they do and they practice a strong work ethic, role-model attitudes and behaviors that inspire those around them. They understand that a safe and active community promotes healthy individuals and families.

One way that Chief Derek Epp and the Tzeachten First Nation live out the values of their Nation is in the way they have supported Canadian Blood Services for seven years. It has been because of their generous discount for use of the Tzeachten  First Nation Hall, that over 100 blood donation events have been hosted in their community. This has resulted in over 10,000 donations collected from individuals in the Sardis community of Chilliwack. An accomplishment that would not have been possible without their support and partnership.
