Dustin Windross

Dustin Windross is passionate about adventure and the outdoors. You’ll often find him mountain biking on the trails in Kamloops, B.C with his wife and kids, or with his colleagues from We Are One Composites, a manufacturer of bike components, where he works as a production manager.

Dustin is no stranger to the possibility of broken bones and sprains from this high-risk sport. But when his friend (and owner of We Are One Composites) needed five units of blood during emergency surgery to survive a bike crash, Dustin wanted to make a difference. His wife, Courtenay, is a regular blood donor and suggested he host a blood drive. But Dustin didn’t stop there.

He produced a full media campaign about how blood donations might be needed one day to help other riders too. His efforts recruited more than 50 of his peers to donate blood or join the stem cell registry and are helping to make Canada’s Lifeline part of the mountain bike industry’s culture
